a fun weekend

i remembered that i hadn't posted all the fun we had superbowl weekend. so here goes...
chris had got free tickets to a children's opera in dallas (the opera is one of his clients.) we invited some friends to go and stopped to eat at la duni before the show. it was the first time i'd been there, but i can tell you that it won't be the last! everything was so good.

here's chris' dinner

and mine.
it was called rice salad and it was delicious!

here we are

and our friends--patrick & mindy

the girls

here's the cupcake chris & i got to share later
(my favorite is always white cake with white icing.)

look how pretty the coffee was.
we didn't get a chance to sit and enjoy everything like we wanted to because we were running a little late and were afraid we'd miss the show!
but we're going to go back when we have an evening to spend there and at the mall (la duni is located in north park mall.)
after that yummy dinner and dessert, we went to the opera. we saw doctor miracle which was a one-act opera around 45 minutes long. it was really good--but then i love musicals! mckinlee wasn't too impressed. as much as she loves music, she doesn't care for musicals or operas.

sunday evening we went over to our friend's for the superbowl.
we had a ton of yummy food--including more veggies than we could have ever eaten!

these pretty cake pops displayed on the cutest football field were delicious!

we enjoyed watching cute baby jaxon smile

the desserts were amazing. i made these mini chocolate cheesecakes which are quick to make and always tasty.

here's some watching the half-time show. you can see how excited they were! ha!

(i found this sticker that said:
life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you find a hair stylist you like.)
i'm going to put it next to this picture of us in my project life album

some people, ahem kevin, needed a little more whipped cream on their cheesecakes.

fun times.
