a yummy recipe

chicken and cheese lasagna roll-ups

i got this recipe from genn at life in the hass house.
she is really into healthy eating and i just love reading all the things she's been making. she found this recipe on pinterest and posted it to her blog. i made it the other night and it was SO yummy! just thought i'd share in case you're looking for a new dish to add to your weekly rotation!

(i realize it would have been prettier and more healthy to have a nice green salad on the plate too, but oh well.)

the birds

did you ever see that old alfred hitchcock movie, the birds?
that movie completely.freaked.me.out.
i think that's when i developed an almost-phobia of birds. cannot stand birds in real life--despise them.
but give me a ceramic bird and i'm all there!

the other day i started wandering through my house taking a picture everytime i saw a bird. here are the results:

(i also happen to love displays of 3 items and the number 3--very convenient since that applies to us. sadly, my favorite number is 5, but since it is highly unlikely that there will ever be 5 people in our family, i thought a bunch of 5's everywhere would look slightly odd!)

randomness

1. this picture has absolutely nothing to do with this post--other than the fact that i wish i was there right now. (danielle, this will be the view from your condo in just 3 short months!)

2. i have been insanely busy this month. i am trying to increase the time spent in the ministry, it was spring break last week and also our c.o.'s visit and i'm taking a photography class that has been every monday and wednesday night for the last 3 weeks.

3. this is the hardest time i've ever had with the time change. i hate it. i.am.so.tired.

4. my main camera lens has broken. not good when you're in the middle of a photography class.

5. i just placed an order for a new lens from amazon this morning.

6. my hair needs to be cut and colored so bad. i have appointments for both. yay!

7. i planted pots of all the herbs i bought a few weeks ago. they smell so good.

8. today is dark and stormy--my favorite kind of day.

9. it is mind-boggling trying to decide on a printer to buy. (anyone have a printer they just love?)

10. today is our 18th anniversary!
