day 4 found us at hollywood studios.
after getting our fast passes for the ever popular toy story ride, we decided to go on the studio backlot tour. we were standing there in line when a lady comes out and says something like,
"we need a party of three..." i didn't wait to hear the rest & said that we had three. apparently what she needed were volunteers to be in the little movie. you had to be 16 so mckinlee couldn't do it (she was very upset), so chris graciously let me volunteer! ha!

here i am as the captain in some "old" war movie!
it was funny.
it was funny.
that all took a little while, so mckinlee was not too happy when i was through.
i wanted to take a picture of her beside the little barn that was on the hannah montana movie...
this was a cool thing where this truck "exploded" and then a "flood" came barreling down the mountain.
mckinlee was so bored with that whole tour that she was thrilled when we found the honey, i shrunk the kids movie set adventure!
we let her play there for a long time & thought about the next few years when she won't want to do that anymore :(
mck & chris were so excited to ride the aerosmith rock 'n' roller coaster.
this ride goes from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds. hence the reason i was not stepping foot on it! while they rode i sat and watched people. there was a woman beside me with a 5-6 week old baby that i could not believe was out in the stifling heat.
as people came off the ride, they would come and stand by the guitar and have their picture taken doing some crazy rock star pose.
(oh my goodness-love how mckinlee is actually doing the i love you sign--too cute!)
they loved it so much they got fast passes to do it later in the day.
even though it wasn't air conditioned, we at least got to sit down for the indiana jones show.
it was pretty cute.
then back to the toy story ride. this one is kind of like the buzz lightyear ride in magic kingdom. it's part video game, part ride. very popular. when we came back, the fast pass return time was already into the evening!
then we went through the magic of disney animation and had fun seeing which character we were most like.
and chris put in all these funny answers so he'd get someone really evil...
(these descriptions had us rolling with laughter!!!)
chris & mck after riding rock'n'roller coaster for the second time. posed this time by the picture of aerosmith. such rockers!
that night we went to downtown disney. it was pretty cool, but we really didn't allow enough time to get there early, so we ended up not being able to eat until almost 10pm. we were exhausted and a little irritable and planet hollywood is not a quiet little place to eat. it was so loud we were literally yelling at one another across the table. and a woman at the next table which was probably 12 inches away was singing/screaming every song that came on the screen! good times.
we were so tired it was hard to fall asleep this night--but we had to. day 5 was magic kingdom & we needed to be up early!
only 2 more days of disney--then who knows what i'll blog about!
