Disney-Day 5

i have got SO many posts to get caught up on!
we had a wonderful visit in waco at our friends' anniversary party and spending time with family...more on that later.
now, let's wrap this disney stuff up!

this is day 5 if you're keeping up.

we went back to magic kingdom for a fun day all three of us enjoyed.

mckinlee and chris went right to space mountain and loved it!
i looked around in the gift shop.

we also went back to the treehouse and went through it with chris. he's never seen swiss family robinson so it wasn't quite the thrill for him as it was for me. ha!

when i was researching this trip, one site said to be sure and get the dole soft serve by the treehouse. it is basically pineapple soft serve ice cream and it was fabulous!

mckinlee's mission was to find as many penny presses as she could for her and her friends--they were really cute! and we are going to be working on a project to frame all of them this week.

we rode buzz lightyear several times and loved it--it was a video game type ride and really cute.

we had mckinlee's silhouette done and it was amazing to watch.
i don't know what i thought they did, maybe trace her profile somehow, but they actually cut it out with a tiny pair of scissors right before your eyes. it takes a year or more to learn (i think) and is a real art.
we got one for her room and one for me to frame somewhere in the house.
we spent so long in the gift shop at the end of the day, that we got caught in the afternoon parade. at least i got some good pictures!

(i cannot even tell you how long it took to pick out all the charms she selected!
if you know her, you can only imagine.)

sadly, this was the only night we got to enjoy one of the fabulous pools at our hotel. we just didn't have time to relax on this vacation. ha!
