wednesday
shame on me! you would think after my little indiscretion with the girl scout cookies (in which i ate 2 whole boxes of trefoils and samoas by myself) i would not fall victim to the clearanced peeps. sadly, it's true. i just love those sugary, pastel lumps of marshmallow. i don't which i like better--fresh and spongy when you first open them, or when they're a little stale and crunchy. again, shame on me!

thursday
problems with air conditioning are never fun :( our problems kept multiplying this particular day. by the end of this visit, i had good news and bad news. the bad news is that we need a new evaporation coil that will cost $2000. (i think that's what it's called. mostly i just focused on the 2 with all those zeros behind it!) the good news is that hopefully it's covered under our home warranty and we will only pay $60. we're still waiting to find out which it will be.
friday
mckinlee made this pretty bouquet of paper flowers the other day. she worked on this forever, painting each piece of paper, folding them just so and attaching them to green bendy straws. i now have them in my kitchen window.

saturday
mckinlee was invited to have a sleep over at a friend's house tonight. my big plan was to spend the afternoon/early evening cleaning out my closet. but this was the first saturday chris hasn't had to work in forever, so instead of cleaning, we went shopping and out to eat. he got some of his anniversary presents and we just had a fun afternoon together. we ended our evening with dinner at cheesecake factory and looking around at barnes & noble. this beautiful thing was our dessert--the tuxedo chocolate cheesecake. yum!
sunday
some of my mint survived the winter and is coming back--i'm so excited!

monday
i am loving my motivatedmoms.com planner. it really is motivating me to be more productive and i definitely need that!
tuesday
i got a new floor steamer the other day (i had intended it to be part of my anniversary gift because i'd really been wanting one, but chris said a cleaning item shouldn't be an anniversary gift--isn't that sweet?) anyway, i ordered it off amazon.com and am loving it. i can use it on my tile and wood floors and everything looks so clean.
great pictures this week. love the homemade flowers she did a great job on them. the dessert looks so yummy and too pretty to eat.
ReplyDeleteThe motivatedmoms planner looks really cool. I'm a sucker for check-lists!
ReplyDeleteMcKinlee is so creative! Love the flower bouquet. Sounds like a fun Saturday for you and Chris...I really like my steamer, but I don't use it on the wood---I may try it now!
ReplyDeletegood pictures as always! i LOVE the paper flowers, she did a great job! and the tuxedo cake looks divine. i can almost taste their salad and ranch dressing and dark bread. yum!
ReplyDeletethe steamer is a good idea. maybe i should get one too. so do you mop too or not?
That cheesecake looks incredible!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to check into that mom planner. I could really benefit from having that on my counter.
What fun this week!
