i finally got my planner from erin condren the other day and i'm so excited! i just know this (2012) is going to be my year of being really organized (note to my sister: you may stop laughing now)

it came in this pretty box--isn't that so happy looking?

they also threw in some cute personalized labels!

we have a friend named Vera...

...Bradley, that is.

it's no surprise that mckinlee and i have a slight obsession with vera bradley.
i actually never used to like it because all the prints seemed so old-ladyish.
but apparently vera got with the program and now i love the modern prints!

mckinlee and i had each received a $20 coupon in the mail for anything in the store
(be sure you get on their mailing list and you will get great coupons!)
then last thursday, they were having an open house with different specials all day and they said you could use any coupons on top of the special. woohoo--we're there.

they had water bottles & cookies with different prints on them--so cute!

mckinlee was originally going to get the perfect pocket tote to use for her service bag, but when we got to the store they had displayed their 4 test patterns for summer. they had each print available to buy in just a few styles, so she ended up with this...

(we were told it and the 3 other prints will come out in may.)

i have been wanting a hipster too.
when i'm shopping or running errands, my big purse always seems to hurt my neck so it was medically necessary (ha!) that i get a hipster and the wallet that goes with it!
the special when i went was buy one bag get a wallet half off. so that combined with my coupon resulted in a free wallet!
i got mine in happy snails because i wear those colors the most.
the wallet is the accordian wallet and i like how much it holds.

i have been using it every time i've been to the grocery (and lately that's been a lot--but that will be for another post!)

a baby shower

recently we went to a baby shower for our sweet friend, jessica, at michele's house.

here's a close-up of the fabulous goodies we enjoyed.
these gorgeous cake balls were some of the richest things i've ever tasted.

i didn't have one of these, but they were pretty.

these were amazing. can you tell what they are?

here is what i did enjoy and it was scrumptious!
white cake and white frosting--my absolute favorite!

michele always hosts the most fabulous showers and parties. she thinks of every little detail.
i loved the water with fun baby confetti in the bottom.

and the plasticware folded up so pretty.

this was a fun thing.
she had us all bring baby pictures of each of our family members and displayed them for people to guess who was who!
