Show Us Your Life Friday-Living Rooms

last year, kellyskorner started this neat friday blog posting. each friday she would post pictures of different rooms in her home and invite other people to link up to her post. she is doing it again this year and i'm so excited!
one thing i dearly love is seeing people's houses.
i love seeing great big houses, tiny cottages, brand new houses, old vintage-y homes--anything.
i just enjoy seeing how people live.
so even though my living room has not changed much since last year, i'm playing along too!

this is the view when you walk in my front door

i have all my fall stuff out already (even though the high today is going to be in the 90's!)
i think the colors of fall are so cozy and comforting--love them!

this is a side table that i struggle with. i just never know what to put here.
i read somewhere that instead of putting candles on candle pillars, use them to display various things. that bird is just hanging out there until i can find another pumpkin i like!

since we have never replaced our tv, this room is not getting a lot of use. ha!

i need to change these shelves up--getting tired of how it's looking.

even though it doesn't feel like fall, i got out all my fall decor and put it all over my house. fall is my absolute favorite season to decorate for. i love browns, oranges, reds and yellows--especially in my house. i am so hoping it gets cooler soon!

my child wants to be grown so bad. this weekend her rant was about not being able to wear eyeliner. hello? you're 11. she was proud of herself that she learned how to put it on, so i did let her wear it around the house. i love this picture of her eyes.

we planted just a few of these this summer and this is what my front flower bed looks like right now! everything else i planted is dead, but apparently these love the hot texas sun!
